080714 - B-welding done

I really took my time shaping the small patch to the B-post and getting it lined up as, although it's invisible when the car is parked and when it's on the road, I will see it every time I get in the car. The dogleg repair panel is clamped on after a lot of trimming and shaping, getting it lined up with the B-post, the sill, the door and the inner wing. This is very much visible from the outside, so it's also very important to get right. Also: My parents came home with my 'new' boot lid today! With one large dent and a couple of small ones it was maybe a bit too expensive at 1250 SEK, but as the frame of it is straight, the seal mounting channel is in fine shape and the lock mechanism was excellent, I'm satisfied. I could possibly have found one cheaper in the UK, but now I didn't risk anything as my father could check it out before any money changed hands and he deemed the dents to be no match for my skills. :)
