This is what the engine looks like painted and with the alloy rocker cover on - fantastic! As I will be handling the engine standing on the sump I decided to take care of that part later. Getting the engine in paint took a while as I wanted Hirsch Engine Enamel and previous accidents in transit made Hirsch himself understandably unwilling to send me a can without lots of insurance. I had to find a vendor in Sweden selling Hirsch paint and get him to add "MG Maroon" to his stock of mainly US-related car parts and paints but this was the easy part, he even added "MG Green" as well without me mentioning it. It then took eight (8) months for the paint to arrive to the vendor which was a bit frustrating. Not his fault though, he was as frustrated as me with not getting paints and parts he ordered from overseas.
...and the flag in the background with an "M" is a flag from the Section for Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Lund University.
