My exhaust manifold had been mutilated and two of the stud threads were just gaping holes, so I bought a better one. This one had the normal surface rust, but nothing serious. My first thought was to sandblast and spray paint it, but the blasting cabinet I have used in the past has been sold and I decided to try something else. I found kind of a "miracle cure" on eBay, which only required degreasing and wire brushing before application. Just a couple of minutes in the manifold looks like this.
