I bought an engine crane to get the engine and gearbox in, with the front crossmember mounted reversal of the disassembly using a trolley jack is impossible. At the point where I had the assembled engine and gearbox hanging from the crane ready to go in I realised the crane and the car had the same track width so the crane could not get into position. A solution would have been to put the front crossmember on axle stands, but then the crane would have hit the ceiling.
