I welded the cracks without any additional reinforcements as I will be replacing the skins. Otherwise I would have added some metal to the bent over flanges, giving a lot more strength in the area. These welds show good penetration and should hold up until I take the time to fix the doors properly. When the time comes I will also take my time to align the quarterlights (vent windows) to the windscreen, from what I gather misalignment here is the main reason for the "Crack of Doom".
